Have you ever wondered what questions to ask your carpet cleaner?

Here are a few of the most regular questions about carpet cleaning however more importantly here are the ones that are not!

How much will it cost to have my carpets cleaned?

- Is this the most important aspect I sometimes wonder?  While we do appreciate that budgets may play an important part of your decision the most important factor for me would be what will I receive for that price.  The one thing that stands out to me is receiving a company that is qualified and knows how to clean my carpet without damage.  Please ensure that you ask many questions to ensure your choice is the best:

Are you insured, does your insurance protect my carpets, upholstery and furnishings?

- Surprisingly this is one question that is not asked often if at all!  Please do ask to see insurance, not all carpet cleaners are qualified and may make a costly mistake.  Martins Cleaning Services have no claims to date, we are qualified to the highest standards and we ensure your complete satisfaction.

How will you clean my carpets?  How will cleaning benefit my home?

- You may be surprised to hear that there are several ways to clean a carpet. In our opinion the most through clean is the Hot Water Extraction method, this is widely used but not always.  There are other methods which I will not go deeply into, however I can assure you that HWE will clean deep within your carpet pile and clean extremely thoroughly.  We use a truckmont carpet cleaning machine, this provides thorough cleaning and we can change the temperature to suit your carpet as well as the correct cleaning solution for the individual work required.  Don't risk having your carpets shrunk!  Make sure your carpet cleaner is fully qualified and knows how to clean your carpets properly without risking damage.

Quotations by telephone or personal appointment -

- It is becoming more apparent that clients are receiving quotations by telephone.  Please be careful a quotation is a fixed price, an estimate is approximate and as it says estimated it may be subject to change.  We prefer to visit you and provide a free quotation in writing, you will meet our qualified technician and you will receive important information about your carpet upholstery cleaning.  We do provide estimates on occasions but please do not choose the lowest price, it will not guarantee the best clean or a qualified company that is necessarily insured for the work that they will undertake.  Our quotations are provided in writing.  Check insurance and read any paperwork thoroughly.

Can I see testimonials and customer comments -

A company that has genuine customer comments may help you to make your decision.  Customers that have returned to a company return for a very valid reason, they are usually very happy with the service they have received.  Do make sure you view the real thing and not some fictional story usually found on the internet.

Qualified or not qualified -

If a company says it is qualified look into that qualification, see what it stands for and whether that qualification or membership provides you with protection.  Martins cleaning services are members of the NCCA and Devon county council Buy with confidence scheme, both help to protect the consumer.  We belong to these organisations as we have worked hard and passed exams and our business has been scruntinised fully, these organisations are satisfied with our conduct and therefore we are approved members.  The statement of membership also warrants our respect for our clients.  We thank all our clients for the bookings that we receive daily.

Please allow plenty of time to book your quotation and your carpet, upholstery, rug etc cleaning.  If a company is able to rush out to you immediately you need to know why!  A well booked company is a popular company and one that you may wish to choose.  Do book early to avoid disappointment, Christmas is a busy time and therefore we recommend that you plan your carpet cleaning appointment in advance.  We are already making appointments for December 2010 (Christmas 2010) and New Year 2011.  We do want to receive your enquiry and we will be confirming appointments right up the Christmas and New Year.
